Readink – Stories & Books

The app wants to force you to pay for books riddled with spelling and grammatical errors. It offers points for you to read for free, but the points don't do any good when they keep taking them away. Around 500 points have disappeared... so much for my plan to collect enough points to binge read. Apparently, this app has a rule, no binge reading unless you pay cash. I'm not sure if I'll tolerate this app long enough to read the book I started. Apparently, the points expire within 5 hours

The stories are amazing and very well written. I don't like that I can't get my bonus coins. It says "oops", or let's you watch the ad only to be stuck in the app loading which you can't get out of and have to close the app completely. I think it just tries to get you to purchase coins since it won't give you bonuses.

About the same cost as two hardbacks from a store, but the stories hook you and I like the variety of genres. A suggestion: when in the Library list, clicking on a book cover should bring up information about the book, not automatically open it for reading. Having to use the search bar just to get the book info is annoying, especially when you have to have the book title exact or it does not show up.

Found the same stories cheaper on another app... Stories are great, but the subscriptions are expensive. Once you're locked into a subscription, there's no option to change. It sucks when you realize you're hooked and want to change your membership but are stuck on the expensive one. I ended up searching for the authors that I like and found them on other apps (probably by the same company), but the subscriptions were way cheaper.

I like this app and the story I'm reading, however it's advertised as a free app and technically that's true but if you don't buy coins it's impossible to read more than a chapter every 4 to 7 days. Definitely not honest advertising when you count on people getting into the story so much they feel forced to buy coins.
