Is Moboreels free or is there a subscription fee? high
The app is free to download, but it is not free to use without restrictions. Multiple recent user reviews report being forced into a weekly or monthly subscription to watch content. The in-app purchase range is $0.99 - $299.99 per item. Based on user reviews, there is also a 'coin' system for new or specific dramas, and watching ads is required to view content without paying. Starting costs appear to be at least a $35 weekly subscription.

Does Moboreels have ads? high
Despite the app description claiming an 'Ad-free experience', multiple recent user reviews (from December 2024 to March 2026) strongly contradict this. Users report an overwhelming number of long ads, often requiring watching 3 ads for a single 'chance,' and ads that are longer than the video clips themselves. The app does not appear to be ad-free for non-subscribers or for users watching certain content.

Is the app worth paying for? medium
Based on recent user reviews, the value proposition is very poor. Users consistently describe a 'pay-per-view' system where you pay a subscription fee but are still asked to pay more ('coins') to continue watching. This is described as 'Highway Robbery' and users recommend disputing charges with their bank. While some find the content entertaining, the cost appears excessive for what is offered.

1βI paid for the $35 A WEEK membership (yes I'm stupid) for like an unlimited stories watch subscription and then got another pop up mid watch to pay $45 to keep watching!!! Will either be requesting a refund or disputing with my bank. I've never experienced anything like this with any other app. Find another, there are plenty to choose from.

1βHighway Robbery Pay Per View. Content is not the problem, BUT the unscrupulous tactics of pay per view is. You're already forced to subscribe via weekly or monthly, etc (not cheap, I may add)... Then on top, if it's a newer drama, and if you wish to continue you have to pay more for "coins" to continue viewing. If you don't want to pay, you've to go through ads, etc.

1βNot for me! I had to Uninstall because you get what 5 chances to watch ads but each chance had to be 3 ads. Then after that, you get tons of options to get bonuses but it's all reading transcript links, or Tapping on random ads on websites, like no it's too much. Half the damn ads bring cookies and additional tabs so just to watch 1 episode is a ton of ads. And on top of it they don't even give you like a free ad a day or something. It's just not what I expected. Shows look interesting but no!

2βHELLO...my name is Virginia, and PERSONALLY, I'm insulted by this app...Why have SOOO MANY ads that people might find it VERY difficult to keep up with your stories. I stopped watching network television a long time ago because I was, and STILL am, sick of so many ads! I think that they are quite intrusive! And, trust me, if I want to download a game, I will. I don't like being coerced to do so by a bunch of useless ads . I can't follow your stories 4 ad, after ad...π₯Ίπ«€

3βNo different from the other responses, the content is entertaining and I have no problem with paying to watch but I just feel it's too expensive. Once I deplete the last purchase I'm uninstalling. The ads are way too long (longer than each clip) and I'd do better just watching cable. Stacking up points isn't worth the hassle when each ad is between 40-120 sec and you have to watch 3. the unlimited is more a year than my premium channel subscriptions.
