Hilton Honors: Book Hotels

Overall very good. Could be better with allowing you to book a room after midnight for what we all consider still that same evening! Sometimes the app is slow and can be painful trying to book a room but mostly is very good. Would be nice if it was easier to edit criteria when booking. Love the room controls and digital key! love how easy it is to book with points. I won't stay at any other hotel if there's a Hilton close enough!

I used to use the app for the digital key function, but the last few stays I've had issues like the app constantly logging me out. When I am logged in, I still get frequent errors where things just won't load. I've tried using the app to book stays, but it's never worked when I've tried. It will bring up hotels & show a price, but when you click on the hotel it says it can't get prices & to try again later. Other times, it will fail to even find any hotels. It's definitely a hot mess.

Using a Google Pixel 7A with all updates. The app must have been fixed since I last reviewed it with a 2 star rating. Now it seems to be working better and it's easier to navigate. January 2026 update: Back to the same old problems again. Slow loading pages, constantly logging me out within minutes of using it, keeps my old password saved in the field even though I manually enter the new one each time I'm forced to log in, and an inconsistent performance makes me want to give up on Hilton.

Updated Nov 25: had to drop to one star. I love the way the app used to work. Recent updates have made the app unusable. I get the same error others have reported that there is a problem on their end. Seems like by now they would have figured out a fix. Sounds like they no longer support their app effectively. While I can still book on the website, that is inconvenient these days. Looks like Marriott may start getting my business. I like the app. It's the only way I book Hilton stays.

I use the app a lot. It used to be great. I can no longer rely on the app to book hotels in the proper location. My most recent trip said the hotel was .2 miles from my meeting (walking distance). It was around 10 miles away and took 20 minutes or more to get to my meeting. Unacceptable in the business world. Looks like I will have to make the switch to another hotel group. Also, why can't you have a "status for life" tracker in the app (like Marriott).
