genuinely I like this app. I casually studied asl in HS and college, but don't use it much in day to day life -1 star for overly easy pick-the-right-answer. like, one will be fingerspelling, and the other will be a sentence, or it asks you to put a 2-3 word sentence in order. you could answer correctly just by guessing. it would be a lot more helpful if the two choices look similar so you have to actually pay close attention to receptive signing.

Great app, it works well and there's no unnecessary sound. The lessons are easy to follow and the different Deaf teachers help you recognize the small personal differences in signs from person to person. I love that there's a dictionary function as well, that's really helpful. The only small issue I have is I can't seem to locate the settings menu to manage notifications. I'd like to get reminders to practice to help me keep up with learning.

absolutely love this app. I've been trying for years to learn ASL for myself and some of the people in my life, and I've retained more and learned more with Lingvano than any other way I've tried. I'm still learning slowly, but I'm remembering more, and understanding better. this is the only subscription I have, but even before I was paying, it was great. absolutely recommend this for anyone trying to learn sign language. there's multiple different sign languages you can learn too, not just ASL

I have really enjoyed using this app. I am a few months in and feel like I'm learning ASL as well as I could without real conversations. I love the practice section of the app. The only thing I would like is to see the dictionary expanded. Often, when I look up a basic word in the app's dictionary (e.g. teeth), it isn't there, so I have to use another way to learn specific signs. Aside from that, I'm really happy with the app so far.

while I loved the content, I downloaded because sources recommended as the best FREE app available. it is not free. i think they would be worth the subscription if i had a need to learn. i just want to learn. recommend adding "back" buttons in lessons. i have a tbi that causes short term memory issues. it's pain to have to re-do an entire lesson to refresh.
