Night Owl Protect

I don't know what's going on with this app'. ALL of my past events are gone, I get notifications late, if I get them at all, and if I do get notified, sometimes, it'll tell me event not found. What is going on with this app', and why are you taking so long to fix it? Seems like technology is just being sold as false advertisement, these days. These cameras suck and the app' is even worse.

I own an old nightowl system that allows a person to watch a very long stream for hours if needed. This system only allows for only very short partial time period as in seconds. As in jumps, which does not allow watching for hours if you are trying to find something that happened. It is always recording even if nothing is happening, so it is wasted time looking through each of the very limited second slots looking for an event. It is not as clear as NO wants you to believe. APP DOESN'T WORK.

Continued difficulties with this app. We've used this for 1.5 yrs, but in last few months it's been nothing but problems. 75% of the time you get an "Oops, something went wrong! Check internet connection for your phone and device". Works flawlessly on the PC, so it is definitely not our internet. Have done all the updates and checked everything multiple times. Performance is better on Android vs IPhone, but still very buggy. We rely heavily on these, and watch 24/7 certain times of the yr.

I've had model WNVR-WNIP2 for quite a while. Live view works 70-80% of the time. Don't bother with notifications, nothing but false alarms. Playback rarely works via the app. I get a message saying: "Unable to connect to the device. Check your connection and device's credentials". I have to hook a monitor to the system to see saved recordings. I wouldn't recommend this system. BTW the windows version of the app requires admin authority to run!? Spyware?

Total waste of money! Save your money and buy something that actually works. The cameras work sometimes and then miss most major events like cars and deliveries pulling in the drive. There are hours missing from the recordings. The app always says "loading" but if you're lucky you may see one video before it times out and you have to start all over. It's extremely frustrating. Buyer beware I'm sure there are better options on the market than this junk.
