NordVPN – fast VPN for privacy

Stop asking for notifications! A recent update has made using the app a pain due to the constant requests to allow for notifications every time I open the app. They have made it more difficult to disconnect from an active VPN by burying the disconnect button under the pause menu. I will not be renewing after this recent update of intrusiveness, and lack of UI experts on their team. Do not ask me to contact support for the notifications. This is not an issue on my end at all, and you know it.

It definitely slows your connection down. Also... You want the notifications on so you know what's going on... But they take advantage of that by bombarding you with promotional ads via app notification. Every day I get 2-4 notifications about promotional pricing (I already signed up for a year), dedicated IP, whatever else they want more money for. And you can't opt to turn them off without ignoring the entire app. Pretty shady really, definitely not re-upping or telling anyone to subscribe.

The last two updates have completely screwed up my ad blocker. First, I couldn't turn off the connection to allow ads for hints or power ups, but now I may as well not even have my ad blocker on. Ads come through like they did before I got vpn. Edited to add: there is no way to actively contact support at the address they provided, it's only FAQ. If I could I'd rate this 0 stars!!

Keeps turning on automatically even though auto connect is turned off. This has caused several problems including having my bank account locked out. looks like this has been a known issue for a couple years now. please fix this or hire some competent developers that can. Also the support center is just a tree of various issues. There is no way to chat with a live person.

Predatory payment set up. They offer steep discounts for long term plans and then default to auto renew your plan for the full price once you've forgotten your renewal date. Their return policy specifically doesn't apply to the renewed plan as this is an intentional scam to screw over their customers. Businesses should sell their product, not use them to bait a trap.
