Photoroom: AI Photo Editor

I signed up for the free trial through the app via Google Play and have been unable to cancel. The subscription does not appear in my Google Play account, and both the app and website redirect to a “How to Cancel” page instead of providing an actual cancellation option. However, I receive charge reminders and can update payment information easily. Signing up was simple — cancelling has been frustrating and unclear. Proceed with caution.

ETA updated app. Now, the free version is useless. No backgrounds. Can't even resize your photos. Photoshop is better than this. When I tried the pro free trial, which I planned on doing the subscription, it wasn't much better. Not to mention, trial was supposed to be until 03/10, & charged AFTER that, but they charged on 03/09 - luckily I authorize all charges on that card and was able to decline. I canceled my subscription due to that.

I went through all this just to finally figure out what they meant by their advertising for "watermark erasing." I found in an article that they're referring to their "AI retouch tool." Well, I tried using it, and it does not work in the slightest. Not at all. It just blends the watermark pattern and your photo together, like you're mixing paint. Completely useless. Man, I even called my bank to get them to allow the debit card purchase for the app because they were blocking it. What a let-down.

I am about to lose my mind! I have been using photo room for probably 2 years and paying for it weekly. suddenly in the last couple of months I can't even get it to stay open on my phone to complete one picture! it has always been an absolutely fabulous app and now suddenly it just doesn't work! what's going on??? this is drastically reducing business time for me, important time that could be spent doing anything else but remaking the same picture over and over again!

I try to sign up for an account. The options are $89.99 per year or $5.99 per week (that's super disproportionate, but I'm trying $5.99 for a few weeks). I select the $5.99 and it does nothing. So, it's forcing you to purchase the 1 year. I wonder what % of the profits for this company come from people who forget to cancel.
