5★This is a must have app for all beginning rockhounds, for sure. It's packed full of very accurate info and it's quite simple to use. They even have a decent metal detector in the free trial. I've been in the paid for app about 3 or so years now. All things considered, it's rather inexpensive when you look at all the package has to offer. That said, I'm very impressed with this app and how far it's come over the years!

5★I was originally going to just find out the names of my rocks I didn't already know, and cancel the free trial once I was done, but after using it for only a few minutes, I've decided to keep my subscription. there is so much interesting and helpful information on each rock and crystal, and I really enjoyed looking through the app too. the identifier was really accurate too! very cool!!

1★This is the worst app I've ever tried to use. I paid for a premium membership but the app states I don't have premium access and should pay the subscription fee again (I paid for a full year last week). When I try to contact the company through the app's "contact us" form, the message won't send. When I get the "free" info on a rock, half the screen is covered by a white box. So yeah, utterly useless.

1★Great app, shady with subscription options. I did the free trial, which somehow automatically set it to charge me for a full year after the trial ends. I tried changing it to a monthly subscription 2 days before trial ends, and it wouldn't change from the annual, like the button didn't work, so I canceled my subscription instead. I would've loved to do a month for now and spring for the annual later, but it seems like the app railroads you into the annual. Apps like that never get my money, smh.

1★The app scans the stone, then gives 3 different types of rock to choose from. Even when taking a second photo from the same angle, there are often different types of stone shown than what the previous photo produced. I scanned a piece of petrified wood, and it told me it was rose quartz? I've tried different angles and natural and artificial light. Maybe i'm missing something. I was expecting more accuracy, not guesses.
