Lovely – Meet and Date Locals

I think there are humans on this app, but not many. I have been matching with about 10 fishing/scamming profiles a day. Also Lovely is really pushing hard for me to meet their AI girlfriends. Also I don't know if this is an issue with matching with bots/scammers, or the app, but everyone I've talked to who is in Chicago (where I live) has told me that they are from places all over the US.

I spent a week on here and all I got were Nigerian scammers. They do not do a great job vetting them out and not to mention you cannot send pictures or, use their calling feature to verify who they are unless you pay. I would recommend them requring a phone number and a video message to be posted in order to be verified. Also the app was very buggy if you open the notification instead of opening the app from your app drawer it would freeze out and force you to have to restart your phone.

cool app but like it gives you people who are 2 states over or 400 miles away. I wish they could have an option to shorten the distance. it's marked as a "local" dating app. then you have to buy premium just to finish setting up your profile. why make me answer all of those questions and verify myself just to get hit with a pay wall and people who are supposedly "local." it would be a lot better if you could shorten your distance.

Slow and clunky UI. I've seen fake profiles on a 7:1 basis of real ones. The filters don't work intentionally because there aren't enough users. I'd match with someone "within 3 miles," and it would turn out they're 75+ miles away in another state and have drastically different preferences that weren't initially shown on the profile I viewed (like they want kids and I don't, or they want someone of a different age). I genuinely think this app was made strictly to harvest user data.

It's just Tinder with a different name. Free to play, pay to win. Also the distance thing is broken, 50miles is not on the opposite coast. "In order to get the best out of the app", subscribe monthly? Translates to, pay for basic functions to work properly. Both applications are equally as disappointing. So update is stupid, i never added an email address so it deleted or logged me out, now i cant sign in because it asks for email, at which i did not use to begin with. yay more email spam😑.
