Sling: Live TV + Freestream

If you want budget streaming, this is the app for you. If you're old, this is the app for you. It's fairly easy to learn, although it's difficult to switch from cable to streaming, period. (Switching from any cable to any streaming service means rethinking years of what's always been. Pity) Sling is also highly customizable - incredibly so compared to it's competitors - and budget friendly. I recommend Sling highly.

BEWARE: My bill was $29.99 monthly yet Sling made several attempts to take $67 from my account. When I contacted them they acknowledged my bill was $29.99 and tried to claim the huge increase was due to add-on selections. I told them it was not. The only thing they could tell me is was being charged for was the package we both agreed was the case. In the end, they refused to do anything other make an easily proven false claim it was due to add-ons that zero records existed for.

Even with a fiber to the house 10 years no issues with any other smart devices, echo devices or streaming apps on the TV, except with the Sling TV app. Continuous buffering and pixelated fuzzy picture while watching sporting events, except golf or bowling. I appreciate the offered select plan for live TV, but not even the over the air channel's picture is this bad.

I chose Sling as an alternative to cable, but have had plenty of issues with it. At first the problems could be solved by calling customer service, but now that they have disconnected ALL phone numbers, any problem is just a problem for as long as they want it to be. When I tried their 'chat' option, it either isn't working or is unresponsive. I don't suggest subscribing, but not sure what other options there are.

Works most of the time, cuts off, freezes at times. Got kicked off a football game about 3 minutes before the end of the 4th, then which it took me back to the 3rd quarter, which I already watched. I only paid for a one day pass, but still, it was oaid in full, I should have been able to watch the whole game. When they say sling, it slings ya where ever it wants to. Please fix your issues. Not worth the money at all.
