I love using Square. The only frustration I have is with the Format Updates. (I totally understand the need for Security Updates) Nothing is more embarrassing than opening up my App to take a payment from a customer and finding that things have changed and I'm lost, looking like it is my first time running someone's Credit Card!!

Processed a $4,500 payment and after Square took their fee, they froze the funds and requested ID verification. I immediately submitted everything, yet they said it will take 3 business days to review. If refunded, it can take up to 7 business days to return to my client. Small businesses rely on cash flow. Freezing funds after processing a legitimate payment is unacceptable. Very disappointed.

I love using square for my pos system at markets, and it's very user friendly/easy to use!! I plan on using it as my main website soon (with the free subscription). I do wish there was an annual subscription cost option instead of just monthly payments. My main problem lately has been that the app keeps undoing my work (when I add an item or image it will save, but when I go back to the item later it's not there anymore). It's been frustrating and unusable since I can't edit or add any new items

nothing but a headache. device broke after only a few months, connectivity is spotty at best. it's embarrassing fumbling around with this app in front of customers. when they sent me a replacement unit, they sent a different cord so now I can't plug it into my phone. I'm here out of frustration that I can no longer even log into this app after changing my password many times. waste of time!

RETAILERS BEWARE!!!!! DO NOT purchase the square point of sale system if you have over 50 items in your store. It does not perform basic retail tasks like Quickbooks. And if you need help they charge you for it after you just paid over $2000 for their system and you have to pay them monthly. It's a joke. The amount of hours we have put into this system and the inventory is still messing up for no reason at all. Stick with Quickbooks.
