Elevate - Brain Training Games

I have made this a daily habit now. I am at day 359, almost a full year. I have found what I excel at and exactly where I need more help. Daily practice exercises my 74 year old brain, & I feel I'm getting better at finding words during conversations where I used to fumble grabbing the right word, but funny how I always knew what letter it started with. I find the annual subscription a small price to pay, to keep my brain challenged daily on so many varying games and daily challenges.

Long time supporter, and actually LOVE the new other app. However, mix of 'leagues' and the introduction of micro transactions have turned a gamified puzzle app into just another cash-grab game. Beyond this, the fact the app has failed to log my daily completion at least twice now means I will be removing my subscription and never looking back. Shame...this was a great game at one time.

There needs to be some geography, history etc. Should be teaching periodic table, things like that too but this only teaches reading and math. The way they make you enter your answers for some of the math is really annoying you can't just type in a number it makes you add stacks of 10s, 5s, 1s. Very easy to get a wrong answer that way. And "which part of the sentence is too wordy" I don't like that exercise. Depends on what I am writing perhaps I want to describe something in depth.

I really liked it for about two weeks, but now I regret purchasing the yearly premium version. It has become quite boring. You play the same games over and over again. I find the timed aspect of the games to be frustrating, leading to unnecessary mistakes. I am someone who is able to process information quickly, but I don't do it well under pressure, nor do I feel that speed equals intelligence. I would rather be accurate than lightning fast.

This app is excellent for sharpening your linguistic and mathematical skills! I really enjoy the games, workouts, and overall format of the app. Premium is absolutely worth it. My only complaint is that there are still some features that are locked even after purchasing premium, and all the memory games require audio which makes them a little inconvenient. I also wish there was a way to practice your saved words in a flashcard format. Still a great and educational app that is worth premium!!!
