ElevenReader - Voice Reader

Ehhh, could be better. No matter how clear the pictures are from the book, it still mixes words together or changes a letter or forgets a whole freaking letter. The pronunciation option simply doesn't work. I edited three words and it did not change how the ai spoke the words. I can't edit the text itself, so i can't fix any little mistake the app makes when converting the picture to text and audio. The only reason this app is getting 2 stars is because of the more realistic, *free*, ai voices.

If the free version is anything like the full version I will not be buying this app. I've barely been using this app for 5 hours to listen to my eBook .I've already gotten 2 error messages on the free version that says that there's unusual activity, you might have to purchase the app in order to resolve this. Why would I buy the full version of an app if the free version doesn't work.

I've been searching for an app like this, and this one is the best by far. The ui is fast, easy to use and it does exactly what I need it to: read very long texts with voices that don't sound like robots and has a ton of voices that are quite good to choose from. It even allows you to link an entire chat session from any llm model and automatically formats it and adds who said what so you can listen without getting lost. The pro price is more than worth it, which gives you unlimited listening.

Definitely the best selection of German voices I've found so far, but not great as far as the settings go. I would like to be able to tell the reader to jump over things like footnotes and page numbers (like you can in Speechify). When reading an academic text, having to manually scroll past the the footnotes disrupts the reading flow and kind of defeats the point of having someone read it for you. It makes it useless for driving or jogging, for example. This feature would be a game changer!

ElevenLabs aren't kidding when they say they're the best in the biz! Ever since I downloaded ElevenReader, I've been listening to stories on it for hours and hours every single day. Occasionally the voices will stumble a bit so to speak on certain dialogue and some unique words and neologisms -- but at least in terms of the latter, the 'add pronunciation' feature is genius! It may take a re-read to set it, but after that, bye-bye immersion breaks! Just holy heck, these devs are just amazing.
