GPS Speedometer & Odometer

Compared with the speedo app I previously used (DigiHUD or something—seems to no longer exist 🙁), this isn't much good. The other app showed the speed pretty much instantly, and this one takes at least 10 seconds before it shows any reasonable reading—I was on a train going at least 180 and it showed 45 for a long time. 🙄 Also, the ads are extremely obtrusive, full screen with fake close buttons that take you to awful websites, so you have to run a gauntlet to use the app at all. Uninstalling.

trash, bs spyware that shows you an ad anytime you click on anything, not really ideal when you are DRIVING A MOTOR VEHICLE/RIDING A POWERED VEHICLE. Speeds aren't even accurate, moving when stopped, satellite drops etc etc. save your time and download anything else. Edit: Forgot to mention one thing, it also asks for a ridiculous amount of permissions from your phone that it has no business using. Location is obvious to track speed but that's all that should be necessary.

The speedometer seemed to work good, but the advertising setup made it unusable for me. I understand ads are what make free apps possible, but full screen ads that are hard to close, then ads popping up while trying to set it up and half the screen was a billboard while using it made it too frustrating. I did use it for a couple minutes to check the accuracy of the speedometer in my 73 year old car, but deleted it afterwards. I found another app that was far more tolerable.

So far it's pretty Cool. The ads are a bit much, but they actually disappear really fast if you press x. You know because it's like MPH. overall I've been using it for like 25 miles now I drove on the freeway to downtown, and now I'm starting the in town traffic. If you press any button at all make sure it is running again, it pauses it. For now five star, I'll edit if ends up all bad.

jfc talk about bloatware!!! I just wanted to see my speed, it's stupidly simple to program an app for that. instead this thing shows a bajillion ads, tries to walk you through it's whole interface which should be as simple as 'see that number, that's your speed', buzzes your phone and won't shut up if it arbitrarily decides you're going too fast etc etc. zero ads are needed to 'support' an app like this, I'm sorry. this is the kind of thing thats normally an intro to programming class project
