TuneIn Radio: Music & Sports

Content is great but the app is terrible. Locks up, freezes, crashes all the time. 2 stars. Update: The app has become unusable. It loses track of where it is in a podcast all the time. It will go back to the beginning of the podcast. Each time it does this you have to listen to commercials again. Is this by design, to "up" ad revenue? The other thing is half the ads are for iheartradio. Well, they've convinced me, I am going to check out iheartradio. Might try this again in a month.

I used to enjoy Tunein and was willing to live with a moderate amount of adds, but lately it's been pervasive. I'm forced to listen to long ad segments when I open the app, when I change radio stations and what's most annoying, in the middle of the programs--more and more frequently. I had it. I'm uninstalling the App. Goodbye Tunein.

I've used this for 15 +/- years to fine local radio stations and programs. Unfortunately, they've eliminated some features. It used to provide every station that was playing a specific program, line, at that time. Now it just lists stations that play the program, whether they're playing it live or not, with no info on when the program will be line. I don't care for the auto play. I've used multiple tools to disable it, but somehow it keeps coming back.

trying to play through Android Auto in my car. after a lengthy buffering you get ads, then maybe you don't like the song, so you skip to the next station. again buffering, and more ads. it does this every time. no thanks. I don't want to listen to ads during my entire trip just because I didn't like a song a particular station is playing. 3 or 4 stations in a row, and you are buffering, and listening to ads for an hour. no thanks. there are much better options out there.

I use this app often for live listening, mostly talk radio and news, and quality is often very good or certainly good enough. My criticisms are the following: - it plays two ads and you cannot turn off the screen or else you have to start all over. - the separate music SWITCH to Classical can happen inadvertently - you have to listen to the two ads again, and then to go back, you have to listen to another two ads. VERY ANNOYING - MADDENING - Pls get NEW ads - listening to same for the past yr!
