3★The app itself is pretty great. Several times I have purchased through the app and had orders canceled, changed, or just plain wrong. Vivino doesn't require their Merchants to keep accurate, updated inventory and as a consumer it's beyond frustrating. I only continue to use this app to avoid grocery store wines but wish they would hold their vendors accountable. Vivino customer service is slow.

4★This app has had a turbulent life - it was once brilliant and then ruined by attempts to overmonetise it, betraying reviewers who provided it with rich content. Thankfully that phase has passed - the label reader works again on the free version, and the constant popup ads have stopped. It no longer has quite the range of recent reviews (no doubt a symptom of what they tried a year ago) but it's a good app again.

2★Potential but plagued by support issues. If you pay for an app, and that is the case here, I subscribed to the premium version, then you should expect at least a minimum level of support to be available. Instead, the chat bot is completely useless unless it's about a wine order. Im having a lot of trouble with the "wine adventures" part, which is a premium service and I cant talk to anyone or email anyone to help me as the bot doesn't understand anything beyond absolute basics. Disappointing.

2★Decent, but far from great. The wine menu scanning is no longer free, but the biggest flaw is the rating system. Instead of evaluating individual vintages, all ratings are aggregated, making them virtually meaningless. If you're looking for a rating on a specific year's vintage, you're out of luck. Until this is fixed, the app remains merely average.

2★After recent update, the app has downgraded in quality. After it guesses the vintage wrong, I'm unable to select my own year. It somehow confuses the year I selected and added to wishlist to the wine I scanned. Also the picture I took of the bottle is no longer shown, instead their default is shown, which is often incorrect or too dark to recognize. I don't know why they felt they needed to make almost perfect product worse, but they definitely achieved that. Contracts! NOT.
