Airbnb

Was overbooked by $30 for a booking. Called support and they did not believe me, and requested screenshots. I canceled and took screenshots. I sent them to support, and they still refuse to give me the price difference without a 'case review', whatever that means. This is false advertising plain and simple. The supervisor literally did it on her computer and saw that there was a price discrepancy and said "it is a system error" but refused to honor it. Garbage company.

It's okay, but the Vrbo app has better filters and can sort by price as well as show nearby things on a map. It's also frustrating that we only have a couple of weeks to leave a review. I mean, if we're traveling around, we're not gonna stop from enjoying our trip to leave a review and people need time after trips to get things sorted out. The limit should be no less than a month after the stay, but their limit seems to be 2 weeks.

I always go with Airbnb. However, I was taken by surprise while trying to use my pH number in your apps payment method. There was an error message that said my number was in use already, and wouldn't allow me to move forward. I am not quite sure how it was already in use, when I was the one using it, and had not used it on any other bookings. It would be good to inform me of what this error actually meant!

Their previous split payment system was good. Now it's gone downhill with klarna always showing certain low price then later showing very high price, at switch point might as well pay it full price. If they continue having this system, I'll look for another site for places. Also I do have a good credit score, it's why am even more bothered.

App hides total price in fineprint "details" section -- which could be 50% higher than "shown" price on map. (What's the point of showing a fake cost that means nothing anyway??) Also, it cuts shown price (not total) into "due now" and another sum due "later"! JUST. SHOW. TOTAL. PRICE. ON. MAP! The hiding of total payment -- between due now, due later, taxes, fees, cleaning, etc, etc, all hidden deep in details -- almost makes this app a scam. Just go to a hotel. It's usually cheaper.
