The app is fine, helpful even, but Snapshot sucks. You're required to allow it constant access & it drains the battery. Turning it off doesn't help bc it'll turn itself back on even if the phone hasn't moved at all. The driving records are inaccurate, too. Some are logged, some are not. If you use hand-free through Bluetooth, it'll log it as if you're using the device. It has logged my trips as if I'm riding on a bus/bicycle & if you hit a pothole it activates hard braking. It's not worth the $.

I had to stop automatic payments for 1 month. I was unable to do through the app. which makes the app useless. Then I call speak with representative and get laughed at. When I made payment in app before cancellation. Called & waited an hour an got no answer, I was done waiting. Call to set automatic payments back up, of course now they answer right away. Since its already been billed they won't remove the discount. Im so over paying all this money. Maybe time to look for another company.

Very lagging in updating information and almost impossible to get a new quote by changing one item (i.e. deductible or pay out balances). You have to start the whole process over when you change just one item. It would really help if you could choose an item (like a deductible) to "slide" up and down a range to get new quotes. Seems CS reps can do this (they give a quote on s new number in seconds) but the average customer isn't allowed to do that.

App wouldn't open. needed to uninstall and reinstall. there are things you can't do from the mobile app, you need to do them on the website. get an email that i need to sign a document, the email link opens the browser, which automatically switches to the app, logging me out. then there's no option to sign documents in the app, from the app need to go to the website, and that somehow doesn't redirect. i think most people would get confused and not sign the document.

Snapshot is very bad, though just as bad as every other one of these apps out there. It gave me 7 (!!) hard braking events for stopping for a red light. I guess it would rather me run a red light? As a result I lost a "star" and might get a higher rate. This does not increase safety nor is it accurately determining driver risk.
