Bolt: Request a Ride

I will edit my review once the service will be well monitored. While it might be correct for the driver to be selective, I find it annoying to have a driver calling the customer to confirm the destination to further cancel the trip without giving any reason with the result of wasting my time. Also, the application has a serious problem with the real waiting time; 1 minute might be 8 minutes. Plus, some drivers smoke inside their car or they smell like they never met soap and water.

I have used the app in Europe and Thailand. While their prices in Thailand may be better compared to Grab, their customer support is very bad. I had an issue with a ride to the airport which I raised a ticket. After I arrived at my destination, I could not reply to Bolt and they have no email support. They are a very backwards and crooked company.

This app is highly variable depending on the location and other factors. Sometimes it's the best app for the location, but recently I had an issue where I was quoted a range of 159-229 baht for a journey in Bangkok. The traffic was light and I was expecting somewhere lower in the range, but I was charged 222 baht. I also saw the driver clicking a "plus" button that seemed to increase the fee on his phone. I'm not sure how this can happen, but I'dlike to know. Don't trust unless it's a flat fare!

horrible app, avoid if u can. always cancelling the rides mid way. had to go the the station for an important visit, booked the cab coming in 4 min. CANCELLED. Everytime. customer service charged me £10 for another similar incident. Accepted that I should be getting a refund, haven't gotten a refund. Almost a month now. now they might write a generic response to contact them via customer support but it won't be fruitful.

The app iss comfortable charging customers for cancelations but not to drivers. Had numerous situations where driver would cancel ride in the last moment leaving waiting for almost an hour on one occasion. Support is also AI driven so not useful at all and you can contact them related to rides that have occurred but not scheduled ones. All in all very poor service but lesser than two evils.
